The resin from the leaves is used.

Usage
Dark green resin is scraped or extracted from leaves and flower parts added to tobacco or other smoking mixtures. Dried leaves may also be smoked or chewed.

Effects
Euphoric marijuana-like experience.  Contraindications suggest that persistent use of this substance can lead to habituation
(same degree as tobacco).
